Can sunflower seeds spark an angina attack?

Actually, I know that they do. I am mostly curious as to why?
Some people may disagree, but whenever I eat sunflower seeds I have chest pains the next day, which the doctor describes as "angina." I’m only 31, so this does seem strange.
You’d think I would have stopped eating sunflower seeds… Just can’t seem to do it.
It depends on how much you have at one time.
A co-worker told me he ate about 1 lb of them while lifting weights twice a week, and was getting chest pain. I said cut down the sunflower seeds, since 1 lb has a lot of oil. He did, and the chest pains went away.
I can get chest pains from almost any fatty food, because I have severe, advanced heart disease.
Try pistachios, they have a lot less oil.

Possibly…here’s why:
fish oil and other omega3 fatty acids (like sunflower oil) stabilize malfunctioning heart cells
This is normally not a problem except for people who are experiencing severe heart failure. In this situation, unstable "bad" cell replacement in hearts that are barely able to function can increase the chance of sudden cardiac death.
In your situation, you may have existing heart disease and the process of "cleaning" the bad cells is impacting your heart function. Maybe any high fat foods are causing your blood cells to stick together thus causing angina.
Or maybe you are allergic to sunflower seeds and they cause chest constriction ?
Young people have heart attacks especially if they don’t eat properly there’s evidence that arteries begin to clog in people as young as you. You should probably get a stress test and an angiogram. Angina is nothing to ignore. The best treatment for heart disease is actually a very low fat (10% or less fat ) plant based diet. So far, all other treatments fail to cure disease and only treat symptoms. Treatments don’t even extend life in patients. Therefore, it appears to bbe a warning sign of future serious disease and present risk factors.
I recommend you read "the spectrum" by dean ornish MD or mcdougall MD or essystyn MD – all have web pages and resources about how to really cure and prevent heart disease thru diet alone, which is truthfully the only way and very simple. Unfortunately most MDs are interested in making money so they don’t tell you. Also the medical community can’t even get patients to take their medications let alone a diet, so they don’t bother informing you that most artery disease is a result of personal choices
